Tania's grandparents founded the exclusive Mohan Department Stores empire in the 1950s. Mohan continued the family retail tradition and followed her own ambitions with the development of Tabla. Indian by heritage, it was natural for Tania to work with Indian fabrics and to be inspired by the exquisite embroidery and threadwork of Indian cloths. The inspiration for Tania is to create a clothing and accessories line which fuses Indian exotica, colour and intricacy with modern-day universal wearability. Tania designs her own collections and has also collaborated with some of the most renowned designers in India to bring the vision of a modern India-meets-West, a vision which has always been Mohan's dream. The boutique stocks ready-to-wear, handbags, shawls, jewellery and resort wear. Through popular demand, Tabla has also developed a more international presence. Today Tabla is sold in the US, Europe, the Carribean and Asia.
